Membership to Internet2's private community network allows City of Hope and TGen direct access to hundreds of universities, cancer centers, and government agencies in the US and globally, for collaborative work and access to shared resources. The intended focus is the sharing of research-grade data such as raw sequence data [FastQ, BAM, JSON, and others] for analysis utilizing COH and TGen - High Performance Compute (HPC) clusters. Internet2 is accessible by two-pairs of 10Gb circuits at Apollo HPC cluster (Rivergrade data center) and at the Gemini HPC cluster in the PhoenixNAP data center.
The Gemini HPC cluster and Internet2 circuits are shared with City of Hope and TGen uses which came online in early FY19. In FY22, COH joined InCommon to facilitate Trust and Identity Management allowing Researchers to access grants and collaboration sites using their COH accounts
